KnowingScripture.com is a Bible resource website devoted to teaching God’s Word and providing resources for further study. Our society is becoming increasingly biblically-illiterate, and there are few websites dedicated to the study of the Bible.
KnowingScripture.com seeks to fill this gap by covering interesting subjects and passages in the Bible, many of which are not addressed outside of academic commentaries or scholarly books.
In particular, KnowingScripture.com is dedicated to biblical theology and a Christocentric reading of both the Old and New Testaments. Biblical theology traces themes throughout the story of the Bible and emphasizes how they point to Christ. Understanding that the whole Bible is about the gospel of Jesus Christ helps Christians to see the beauty of God’s Word and thus sparks a desire to study it further.
The authors of KnowingScripture.com are broadly in the Reformed tradition, following the teachings of the Reformed confessions, the Three Forms of Unity (Belgic Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, Canons of Dort) and the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms.

Founder
Zachary Garris
Zachary Garris serves as pastor of Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church (PCA) in White Rock, New Mexico. He holds a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary (Jackson, Mississippi) and a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School. He is a licensed attorney, and he has taught high school and Sunday school courses on the Pentateuch, ancient history, early church history, medieval history, American Presbyterian church history, systematic theology, covenant theology, apologetics, and logic.
Zachary is the author of Masculine Christianity, a forthcoming book on the anti-feminist theology of the Reformers (New Christendom Press), and the e-book Thinking Biblically About Education. He is also editor of Dabney on Fire: A Theology of Parenting, Education, Feminism, and Government. Zachary is the founder of KnowingScripture.com, as well as TeachDiligently.com, a Christian education website with resources for the home, school, and church.
He has written for print publications, including The Confessional Presbyterian journal, Presbyterion, Chronicles Magazine, and the Journal of Faith and the Academy. He has also written online articles for American Reformer, TruthScript, Reformation21, Presbyterian Polity, Desiring God, the Abbeville Institute, the Mises Institute, The Reformed Conservative, and the Foundation for Economic Education.
